El enfermero español Juan Dual, un joven de 30 años que vive sin aparato digestivo, está recorriendo América Latina en bicicleta para motivar e incentivar al paciente con cáncer a luchar por sus sueños. Durante su visita recorrerá organizaciones sociales de la ciudad.
Bajo el proyecto ‘Running for life’, el español Juan Dual de 30 años, recorre Latinoamerica en bicicleta tras vivir sin su aparato digestivo. Su llegada será mañana 1 de septiembre hasta el 3 para luego iniciar su recorrido hasta Usuahia.
Dual ha pasado por cuatro operaciones en las que se le extrajo el colon, el recto, el estómago y la vesícula biliar para prevenir que se le desarrollara cáncer en esos órganos al haber heredado de su familia paterna el gen Adenomatous Polyposis Coli APC que eleva el riesgo de padecer cáncer colorrectal y poliposis adenomatosa familiar -una enfermedad hereditaria que se caracteriza por ocasionar la aparición de más de 100 pólipos en el colon y recto-.
Con su misión de inspirar, motivar y ser un catalizador para que la gente haga lo que nunca ha hecho, y recaudar fondos destinados a la investigación contra el cáncer.
